CSA Info

January 2014
To Whidbey Island friends,

The 2014 Maha Farm CSA (community supported agriculture) is open for 12 subscriptions for weekly seasonal boxes of fresh vegetables and fruits.

So what does Maha Farm offer?

18 weeks/a box each week of fresh produce grown using organic methods on our small family farm on Glendale Rd. We are not certified organic but emphasize locally and naturally grown practices. We value our nearby wetlands and always encourage composting and natural microorganisms.

We offer weekly salad greens, onions, usually a cup or two of blueberries or raspberries, seasonal veggies like snow & snap peas, haricot verts, celery, favas, broccoli, bok choy, squashes, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, kohlrabi, carrots, parsnips, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, garlic, beets, apples, figs and a lovely bouquet of flowers. We like to experiment growing Asian greens and assorted fresh herbs. We will have eggs available at our stand about every other week. The weekly box of veggies is good for a two person family that enjoys cooking seasonal produce. Our happiest customers are those who enjoy cooking and eating local food that was not shipped great distances using foreign oil. We are open to suggestions and will try to assist with special dietary needs. Additionally your order can be individually customized by exchanging for items available in the farm stand that day.

Refer a friend and get a free extra week of vegetables in May or October.

Subscriptions?

Our cost next year will be $450 for the 18 weeks. Customers will pick up their veggies once a week (either Tuesdays or Fridays) at our farm stand located at 4328 Glendale Rd. in Clinton, WA. To hold a subscription, by April 1st make a refundable $100 deposit. Full payment due on May 1st.
